I’ve been recommending that little fellow to anyone who’ll listen. The App is fairly easy to use, so I disagree there. You do have to have a working knowledge of how audio devices produce sound to know what everything means. But most things are self explanatory if you read the explanations that are given for virtually every setting you can mess with. The sound should be mentioned. The sound is clean and uncolored and strong opening up depth and details and separation in the good sized sound-stage. But all of that with out coloring unless you use the filters and EQ. Bluetooth range is stellar. Battery life is average depending on what you are trying to power. I power my IEM’s and my over-ear headphones with the ES100 and it lasts about 8 hrs continuous for the IEM’s and about 6 for the over-ears. I suspect that this is a more Bluetooth related issue as far as battery life is concerned because as I stated, the range is quite amazing and Bluetooth 5.0 is quite power hungry. But to be able to deliver this kind of sound with superior codecs driving two separate amps is going to be power hungry. Do I wish Earstudio sacrificed a little of its tiny size and porked up for a bigger battery? Yup! But, no matter and no worries. It charges quite fast!
