Honestly, I’m fed up with the MS 4000!! I’ve been through 2 or 3 of them. The letters wear off way too quickly and keys fail as well! This last one has failed the soonest!! I’m typing without an enter key and the letter after b and before d!! I’ve just ordered a Perixx to give it a try.

You get about 80% of the plusses of full-fledged separate-halves ergo boards, at a fraction of the cost, extra programmable keys and a big solid frame that doesn’t bounce around.
You say keys are hard to depress (others say spacebar is); i’ve never noticed either. What i have noticed is that the quality isn’t high. However, they’re so cheap and there are so many floating around that you can find them used in any large city. I myself have 4 (total cost, $25!) in my closet as backups.
Am i bored with the 4000? I sure am. Am i bored enough to pay thru the nose for a new Kinesis Edge? Nope!
